Bart Traynor
Bart is a Clinical Psychologist and a full member of the Australian Psychological Society. He has a strong passion for working with intense kids and their families. His primary tools of choice are passion and humour. He utilises an informal approach thereby creating a relaxed supportive atmosphere. Bart is renowned among complex care agencies on the Gold Coast for his work with troubled young people and families in some of the most challenging situations.
Bart has extensive experience working with the complex mental health needs of our youth in a number of vocational settings including: headspace - Gold Coast, Child and Youth Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation (Dual Diagnosis), 24hr Residential Care for young people with extreme behaviours, and The Department of Child Safety.
Bart is Director of Nurtured Heart Approach Australia (NHA Australia) and a member of the NHA Developmental Working Group. NHA Australia was established to provide a central hub for Nurtured Heart Approach training, information and support across Australia and surrounding regions.
He received a Bachelor of Applied Psychology (Sport Science) from the University of Canberra, Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Griffith University, and a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Griffith University.
